Ab Contest Partners - Here We Go!

All right, let's review the rules: you MUST do your abs every-other day. That's your main way to earn points. You cannot deviate from your every-other-day schedule and still hope to win. Also, you have to do your abs for five minutes. You can do more, but you won't get any more points. If you do less, you won't get your points at all. We will obviously be working on an honor system here - if you cheat, you're only cheating yourself.

There will be a bonus for including a variety of exercises. If you can do ten different moves per week, you'll get a bonus. You may get more of a bonus if you do fifteen moves. Keep track of the exercises you try for our weekend check-in post.

Ok! So, here are the partners with links to each person's blog. If you have a blog that I don't know about, please post the link in the comments and I'll add it!

Team 1: Cyndy and Abby

Team 2: Maritha and Anne B.

Team 3: Avery and Amy

Team 4: Theresa and Sheila

Team 5: Pat and Emily

Team 6: Molly and Anne N.

Team 7: Liz and KC

Just so you know, I'm planning to totally "bring it" in this competition.

Emily, I know you are the champ at this, and I'll try not to let you down. The idea of extra points for varied kinds of ab exercises, however, has me worried. I do some of mine in the pool during my water aerobics class, but I don't have too many different moves. You may have to take the lead in that area!

I am totally up for the challenge!
Question: what happens if you do abs 2 days in a row? can you then skip the 3rd day and start again on the 4th? or do you have to do all evens or all odds?

You have to stick to an every-other schedule. This is the case for two reasons:
1) I have read that every-other is optimal timing for developing abs. Whether or not this is actually true, I have no idea, but I'm going with it.

2) The focus of this month's competition is consistency, so I feel we need to keep regular, sustainable schedules. If, over the weekend, you want to switch from evens to odds or vice versa, that's permissible with no penalty.

My husband likes to remind me that there's a difference between being bossy and being the boss, but in this case, I feel my roles are combined. ;)

lol - so were do we give feedback on our wins and losses for the week? And what happens if you forget which day of the week it is and if it is your on day or off day? I feel overwhelmed already as i just cant keep track of myself...

Spreadsheets. It's all about the spreadsheets. Wait a minute, am I a math geek surrounded by English teachers around here? Uh oh.

Anyway Avery, I'm holding up my end of things so far.
