Last month, I participated in a contest on Sheila's blog designed to motivate readers to work on their abs. Because I love winning more than is probably healthy, I did 135 minutes of abdominal exercises in August. That impressive total, combined with my partner's substantial effort, earned me a win in the contest.
Yay! I love winning!
And apparently a contest with no prize is enough to make the difference between 135 minutes in August and, uh, NO minutes so far in September.
Let's remedy that, shall we? Sheila asked me to host the ab contest this month, and here are the terms: you have to comment to say that you're playing, and then we'll work on the key to great abs: consistency. You have to do abs every-other day for the rest of the month starting on Monday the 15th or Tuesday the 16th (your choice), and you have to do five minutes per session. That's it! We'll have partners to increase the chances that we'll do it.
Post in the comments by Monday if you're playing. I hope you are. It probably won't be that terrible.

what?! i thought we were going to get a prize. i'm going to make sheila give me a prize, perhaps a large mocha, when i see her this morning. prizes or not, i'm in for the next round! (do we get to be partners again??)
Fine. I'll do it. I'm in.
I'm in. I can't keep using the excuse "I just had a baby" since my baby is now 1.
Count me in too!
I want to play!
I'm in. Assuming I recover from my recent (free trial) personal training appointment by then. As of today, I can still barely walk.
Does doing sitting trot (riding a horse in a certain gait that kills your abs and thighs after about 30 seconds)for five minutes non stop count? If it does, I am in. But I might hate you by next week friday ;-p
explain to me again how we do this?
kc--i'm in too. like your friend anne b, i can't use the baby excuse anymore either.
Alright, I'm in. I can actually do this WHILE I watch tv. Can't be that hard, right?
I'm in. I've been doing ab stuff all summer with a physical therapist, but now that I don't see her as often, I've been getting lazy. A contest is just what I need.
I'm in - I went back to work this week and the "fat" pants I wore when I went back to work after Ellie was born DON'T FIT on my giant body.
this is an awesome turn-out! partners announced tomorrow!
I just checked Sheila's blog and now I landed here. Cute pictures of the kids! I'm in for the ab contest
