At Dan’s office, along with the free beverages, they have these spectacular Uniball roller pens that I cannot locate in any store. Dan is very suspicious of me around the pens because I love them so much, and I’d really like to have one or two of my own. I can’t have one, he says, because they are the property of his office.
But this morning when I came downstairs, there were two boxes of these fabulous pens sitting on the counter with a note that said, “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Of course, I was delighted. It was 24 pens in total.
“Did you steal those?” I asked Dan.
“No,” he said, very pleased with himself. “I asked the guy to order them for me, and then I paid him.”
Wasn’t that nice? That’s just the kind of thing Dan does for me. Like the time he got me Tivo for our anniversary. That was really awesome, but this was almost as good.

I love the pens at my office. I'm not kidding, they are one my favorite things about working there. They are a cross between a clicky pen and those ink-chamber-art pens. I take lots of notes in meetings just so I can use the pens.
Aaah..validation at last for my pen fetish. If only my husband understood! :)
My favorite pen is one that I stole (yes, I did) from Yum in St. Louis Park. The cupcake was good, but I really like that pen. I don't know where to find another one like it either.
Too funny - my husband has a pen obsession. He talks about the lovel pen I got in my stocking (couldn't tell you which one that would be) all the time.
For the record, I take office supplies.
No way - I have pens that I covet too!!!!!
Those Uniballs are so smooth and so comfortable to hold, and you can write really fast with them.
