Delighted! Lucky! Thank You!

Here's what's happening right now: I'm writing report card comments.  The kids get narratives.  I love the kids, but writing the narratives one after the other is a real challenge.

I know I should do this differently.  Like, maybe I should take little notes at the end of each week and then use them for my comments?  Would that save time and make the comments better?  Do I need to have my final grades done in order to write the comments?

Do you have any suggestions?

Although comments are a complete pain, I think they mean more than grades sometimes. Nope, no suggestions...

I like the idea of the notes at the end of the week. Write a quick note about, say, 15 kids each week. Would I keep up with this plan myself, you wonder? Probably not. It's worth a shot, though. Or maybe the kids could write narratives about each other and you totally steal the good ones? I agree, the comments are a nice touch. But a lot of work. Good luck!

Jessie has a great plan. However, my opinion is that no one is judging your writing nearly as much as you are. If you have some stock comments, well, hmm... who's going to compare?
