This was an epic day. I went to a museum. With a friend. And we had delicious lunch and conversation and we looked at amazing works in glass by Swedish Artists at the American Swedish Institute. I did this instead of catering to my children's every whim. I hired someone to do that instead of doing it myself, just for today.
While I was at the Institute, I photographed this glass "postcard" by Ingalena Klenell. The holes in the image symbolize the holes in our perceptions and memories. Love that.
When I got home, I got my back-to-school letter from the head of school. Should be a great year, I think. Seems like it's going to be Epic.

Glass postcard. Fabulous. I like the idea that there are holes in our perceptions and memories.
I love taking field trips to museums. Well done.
