Today at brunch a gal pal remarked that she "didn't even realize how bad naughty kids were" until she babysat good kids. I relate to this, but theorize that they're all a little both.
Surly and whiny. Not my fave combo, but I find if kids are given everything they desire, surliness and whininess can be reduced significantly.
I agree, DailyRos. They're all a bit of both. That's just life.Lh, I'll consider this. On the other times I've tried it, it hasn't been the magic bullet I expected.
The SamChop displays both tendencies already. Or maybe he's just experimenting. Still, does he need to pull my hair so often?
I don't miss surly seven and whiny three. Although, my naughty nine year olds can be both surly and whiny.....
