I Saw Her Today At the Reception

Hey, so day two of testing. I was a proctor yesterday, but today I was "miscellaneous helper." That meant that I went to rooms and escorted kids to the bathroom. They're not allowed to go by themselves during testing because of "security."

Let's just say that picking up 17 year-old boys from their testing rooms, walking them to the restroom, and then waiting outside for them to finish their business is probably NOT a good use of my master's degree.

that's a weird job to have. i hope you don't have to do that again today.

That is an odd and uncomfortable job, but I do believe we examined the semiotic significance of labels on bathroom doors a la Judith Butler in that literary theory course. You probably didn't think of that, but your drawing indicates that it was in your subconscious all along. So, silver lining.

Done with testing today, thank God. Kids were making videos and websites. Back to normal.

That's probably right, jdoc. We did examine those, along with the anal rope.

I had to sit in a closet with a special needs kid for a week straight one year for ISTEP. It was awful.
